Rectal Cancer Information Center

Each year in the United States, more than 40,000 people are diagnosed with rectal cancer. Thanks to advances in rectal cancer treatment, however, individuals with rectal cancer are living longer. It is estimated that there are more than 200,000 survivors of rectal cancer living in the U.S. today.

Advances in surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and targeted therapy have all contributed to improved rectal cancer survival. In addition, advances in supportive care have made rectal cancer treatment more tolerable, leading to improved quality of life.

Understanding rectal cancer treatment options, the role of different doctors specializing in the treatment of rectal cancer, and how and when to access new and innovative rectal cancer treatment options available through clinical trials is essential in order to achieve the best outcome from rectal cancer treatment.

The Cancer Consultants Rectal Cancer Information Center has been designed to help patients understand rectal cancer and rectal cancer treatment options while providing ongoing information, inspiration, support, and community to individuals affected by a diagnosis of rectal cancer.
